- Computer communications describes a process in which two or more computers or devices transfer data, instructions, and information
- Components for successful communications:
Sending device : Initiates an instruction to transmit data, instruction, or information.
Eg: mainframe, desktop,pc server

Communication device : Device that connects the sending and receiving device to a
communication channel.
Eg: modem, network card, router, hub/switch.

Communication channel : Transmission media on which the data, instructions, or
information travel

Receiving device : Accepts the transmission of data, instructions or information
